Brown Sugar Worth Rs 28 Lakh Seized From Cuttack, 1 Held

Cuttack (Reporters Today Bureau): The excise officers seized brown sugar worth Rs 28 lakh in Cuttack district today. The department acted on a tip that they received. They chased and stopped a bike borne youth in Peer Bazar area and searched him. Around 275 gram of brown sugar was recovered from him.

The estimated value of the seized brown sugar is said to be around Rs 28 lakh. Further investigations are on. The other persons involved the incident are being traced. The officers are trying to find the gang behind the entire racket.
