India Beat Pakistan by 19 Runs to Win Asian Games Cricket Gold

Nisshin: India defeated Pakistan by 19 runs in the men’s cricket final at the 2026 Asian Games on Saturday, successfully defending their gold medal from Hangzhou 2023.
Batting first, India posted 211/6, powered by Abhishek Sharma’s 61 off 28 balls and Tilak Varma’s unbeaten 51 off 22. Shivam Dube added a quick 27 off 15 balls to provide a late boost.
Chasing 212, Pakistan finished at 192/6, despite a brilliant 96 off 51 balls from Hasan Nawaz. India held their nerve in the closing overs to seal the victory.
The victory gives India back-to-back Asian Games gold medals in men’s cricket, following their title-winning campaign in 2023. It also completes a cricket gold-medal double for India at the Aichi-Nagoya Games after the women’s team won gold.
The final was played at Korogi Sports Park in Nisshin, Japan.
