8-Foot Python Rescued From House In Baleshwar, Released Into Kuldiha Sanctuary

Baleshwar: An eight-foot-long python was rescued from a residential house at Mirigini village under Ward No. 4 of Nilagiri NAC in Baleshwar district on Tuesday.
The snake reportedly entered the house of Pradeep Kumar Pradhan, where it killed two chickens and consumed seven eggs. Pradhan spotted the reptile inside the premises and promptly informed the Snake Helpline team.
Following the alert, a rescue team reached the village and carefully carried out an operation to capture the python. After successfully securing the reptile without causing any injury, the team handed it over to the Forest Department.
Forest officials subsequently released the python into the Kuldiha Wildlife Sanctuary, ensuring its safe return to a suitable natural habitat.
The Forest Department has appealed to residents to exercise caution when encountering snakes and refrain from attempting to capture or handle them. People have been advised to contact forest officials or authorised snake rescue teams whenever reptiles are found inside homes or other residential areas.
