Scared Adapa Darshan of holy trinity to begin at Gundicha temple from today

Bhubaneswar: The Adapa Darshan of the Holy trinity -Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra will begin from 10am today that is Sunday. The devotees can get the darshan of the Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra at the Adapa Mandap from the Gundicha Temple in Puri on Sunday.

After a two-days journey on their chariots, the holy trinity reached the gundicha temple then the sacred ‘Adapa Mandap Bije’ ceremony was observed as Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra were ceremonially taken inside the sanctum of the Gundicha Temple in Puri on Saturday evening.

A large number of devotees have been queuing up outside the temple to witness the sacred Adapa Darshan from early morning. The authorities have made extensive arrangement to ensure the devotees can get a peaceful and safe darshan of the deities inside the temple. The pilgrims will enter through baricade and will exit through the Nakachana door after darshan.

The devotees believe that having the darshan of the Holy Trinity at the Adapa Mandap is believed to absolve devotees of sins accumulated over a Crores of births. Moreover, the scriptures also said that one Darshan at Adapa Mandapa is equal to darshan at 10 years in Srimandir.

Meanwhile, devotees will also receive ‘Adapa Abhada’, the special offering prepared at the Gundicha Temple, similar to the Mahaprasad served at the Srimandir. All the daily rituals usually performed at the Jagannath Temple will be observed at the Gundicha Temple during the deities stay inside the temple.

The deities will remain at the Gundicha Temple until the Bahuda Yatra, when they will make their ceremonial return to the Jagannath Temple on the ninth day of the annual festival.
