Mayurbhanj gears up for rare President and PM joint visit to Rairangpur

Bhubaneswar: Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district is all set to host President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Posters and hoardings have been installed at various sites, and security for the events being organized for the dignitaries is in its final stage.

As per reports, President Murmu, on a two-day visit to Odisha, will land at the Dandabos Airstrip in Mayurbhanj at 3:45 PM.

That evening, she will inaugurate the AIIMS Satellite Centre here in Rairangpur.

On Friday morning, President Murmu is to visit Pahadpur, the ancestral village of her in-laws, following which Prime Minister Modi will also reach the village on June 20.

Local residents are ecstatic over the joint visit of the country’s two top leaders, with the administration leaving no stone unturned for a smooth high-profile programme.

Rairangpur town will be under a three-tier security net.
