CM Public Grievance Hearings Cancelled on May 18 & 25 Due to Severe Heatwave

In a move to protect citizens from the blistering summer sun, the Odisha government has announced that Chief Minister’s “Jana Abhiyog Sunani” (Public Grievance Hearing) will remain suspended on Monday, May 18, and the following Monday, May 25.

The decision comes amid an intense heatwave sweeping across the state, with temperatures soaring and severe scorching heat making outdoor gatherings risky. The popular programme, which gives common citizens a rare opportunity to directly place their complaints before the Chief Minister, will skip these two dates to ensure the safety and well-being of both attendees and staff.

The General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued the official notification today, stating that the next schedule for the hearings will be communicated to the public through newspapers and other mass media in due course.
