Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi Voices Support for Cancer Survivors on World Cancer Day

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday expressed solidarity with cancer survivors, caregivers and families affected by the disease on the occasion of World Cancer Day.
In a message shared on social media, the Chief Minister reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to strengthening cancer awareness, promoting early detection and ensuring access to quality and affordable treatment for all. He also underlined the importance of collective efforts in the fight against the life-threatening illness.

“On World Cancer Day, we stand in solidarity with cancer survivors, caregivers, and every family affected by this disease. Odisha reaffirms its unwavering commitment to cancer awareness, early detection, and accessible, quality care for all. Together, with compassion and collective resolve, we can defeat cancer,” Majhi wrote on his official X handle.
The Chief Minister’s message aligns with global initiatives aimed at spreading awareness about cancer prevention, timely diagnosis and improved treatment facilities. World Cancer Day is observed every year on February 4 to encourage action and mobilise communities worldwide in the fight against cancer.
