Three Senior IAS Officers Promoted to Additional Chief Secretary in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has promoted three senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers to the rank of Additional Chief Secretary. The General Administration and Public Grievance Department issued a notification announcing the elevation of Saswat Mishra, Vishal Kumar Dev, and Usha Padhee, all belonging to the 1996 batch of the Odisha cadre.
According to the notification, the three officers have been promoted to the Apex Grade, which corresponds to Level 17 of the IAS Pay Matrix, with effect from February 1. Upon promotion, they have been appointed in the rank of Additional Chief Secretary and allowed to continue in their present postings until further orders.

Saswat Mishra is currently serving as Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi. Vishal Kumar Dev holds the post of Principal Secretary to the Energy Department, while Usha Padhee is serving as Principal Secretary to the Housing and Urban Development Department as well as the Commerce and Transport Department.
In a similar development, 1996-batch IAS officer Vir Vikram Yadav, who is presently on central deputation, has also been promoted to the Apex Grade (Level 17) of the IAS Pay Matrix.
