Skeleton found behind Kedarnath Temple

Kedarnath: In a shocking incident, a skeleton was found in Chaurabari glacier situated just behind the famous Kedarnath Temple located on the bank of Mandakini river in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand.
Reports say that the skeleton is that of a male and is suspected to be of a youth from Telangana. The skeleton was found near the Chaurabari Glacier (Gandhi Sarovar), about 3 km from the Kedarnath temple.
Further it is worth mentioning that, a mobile and a college ID was found in a bag found near the skeleton have helped in identifying the deceased as a Telangana resident identified as Nomula Roswanth, who was reported missing on August 31 last year.
After being informed by the local youth, a team of police and YMF reached the spot and rescued the skeleton and sent it to the district hospital Rudraprayag.
The administration has contacted the Telangana Police and the family on the basis of the ID. It is speculated that this may be that of the youth. He reportedly went missing during the Kedarnath disaster for the Yatra.
The police and the administration is investigating into the matter. Further detailed reports are awaited in this regard. Due to incessant rains and landslide warning the highly-popular Kedarnath Yatra has been suspended for several times this year by the administration, said reports.
Notably, daily life in Uttarakhand has been disrupted due to heavy rain. The Meteorological Department has issued red alerts on regular basis to forewarn. Along with this, it has requested people not to step out of their homes unless it is very essential.
