Youth Rescued After Alleged Abduction in Bhadrak; Three Detained

Bhadrak: Police on Sunday rescued a youth who was allegedly abducted near Petrol Pump Chhak under Bhadrak Town Police Station limits in Bhadrak district, and detained three persons in connection with the case.
According to reports, a group of youths arrived in an SUV and forcibly picked up the victim from near a petrol pump before fleeing the spot, triggering panic in the area.

Acting promptly on receiving information, Bhadrak Town Police Station IIC Prabhansu Sekhar Mishra, along with his team, intercepted the vehicle within a short span of time. The abducted youth was rescued safely during the operation.
Police have detained three accused individuals, while two others managed to escape. A manhunt has been launched to trace the absconding suspects.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the incident may be linked to a financial dispute related to a cashew business transaction estimated at around Rs 70 lakh. Officials said the victim had reportedly come from Ganjam to Bhadrak in connection with the deal and was allegedly targeted over the monetary disagreement.
Further investigation is underway to ascertain the exact sequence of events and verify the financial angle behind the abduction.
