Schools, Anganwadis to remain shut in Bhadrak Tomorrow Due to Floods and Heavy Rain

Bhadrak: All schools and Anganwadi centres in Bhadrak district of Odisha will remain closed tomorrow due to continuous rainfall and flood-like situations, the District Collector announced.

Citing the prevailing weather and flood situation, the Collector has ordered suspension of classes in all government, government-aided and private schools, as well as all Anganwadi centres in the district.

Besides, leave of all government employees has also been cancelled to ensure emergency response.

Meanwhile, 4 NDRF teams have been deployed to Jajpur, Bhadrak and Balasore districts for flood rescue and relief operations. The teams from the 3rd Battalion of NDRF, Mundali, were dispatched for search and rescue duties.

The operations are being led by Inspectors Ramesh Chandra Ojha, Chitta Ranjan Majhi, Rajib Lochan Acharya, Barun Kumar and R.S. Rana. The entire operation is being supervised by Assistant Commandant Sudhanshu Sekhar.
