Veteran Actor-Director Narayan Pati Passes Away

Bhubaneswar: Renowned actor and director Narayan Pati passed away on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Bhubaneswar. He had been admitted to the hospital on Monday evening.

An alumnus of the prestigious National School of Drama (NSD), Pati was widely admired for his depth, versatility, and powerful screen presence. His final film, Bou Ra Hatabaksha, marked the end of a celebrated career that spanned over five decades.

Pati began his artistic journey in 1971 and went on to feature in numerous films across various Indian languages. Some of his most acclaimed performances include Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe (1971), Lakhe Shiva Puji Paichhi Pua (1994), Gare Sindura Dhare Luha (2001), and Arjun (2005). His contributions left an indelible mark on both Indian theatre and cinema.

His passing marks the end of an era, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations of performers.
