Unidentified Body Found on Railway Track in Balangir, Head Injury Sparks Suspicion

Balangir: An unidentified body was discovered on a railway track near a railway underbridge between Salebhata and Mursundi in Agalpur block of Balangir district on Saturday, causing concern among local residents.

According to initial reports, the body was found lying on the track close to the underbridge. The deceased had a severe head injury, while no visible injuries were noticed on other parts of the body, raising suspicion about the circumstances surrounding the death.

Locals have expressed apprehension and speculated about possible foul play, though the exact cause of death remains unclear.

Upon receiving the information, police personnel from the Salebhata outpost reached the spot and initiated an investigation.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be established. Police officials stated that further inquiry is underway to determine the cause and circumstances of the incident.
