Two Killed in Late-Night Road Accident on Bhawanipatna Bypass

Bhawanipatna: Two persons lost their lives in a tragic road accident on the Bhawanipatna bypass road in Odisha’s Kalahandi district late on Friday night.

The deceased have been identified as Gautam Naik of Dharamgarh and Pintu Bagh of Titlagarh in Balangir district.

According to preliminary reports, the duo was on a highway stretch near Bhawanipatna when an SUV allegedly rammed into them from behind. The impact of the collision was severe, resulting in their deaths on the spot.

The SUV involved in the accident, bearing registration number HR 26 CB 5384 and reportedly registered in Haryana, sustained extensive damage.

On receiving information, Bhawanipatna Sadar Police rushed to the scene and began an investigation. Police are examining the circumstances surrounding the accident, including the cause of the crash and the sequence of events leading up to it.
