Bhubaneswar: At least two persons were killed and 35 others injured in three separate road accidents reported from Ganjam, Mayurbhanj and Sundargarh districts of Odisha.
In the first incident, a head-on collision occurred between a private passenger bus, Durga Madhab, and a truck near Bali Dhaba on the Kodala-Khalikote Road in Ganjam district at around 6 am on Friday.

According to reports, the bus was travelling from Polasara to Puri when it crashed into the truck. The truck driver died on the spot, while 15 bus passengers sustained injuries. More than two of the injured are said to be in critical condition.
In another mishap on National Highway-18 in Mayurbhanj district, a Bolero carrying a wedding party overturned after colliding with a container near Nandasol Chhak under Betanati police limits.
The accident took place late at night when the Bolero was returning from a wedding in the Chitrada area. Reports said the driver allegedly took a wrong turn into a highway diversion and got distracted while negotiating the turn. A speeding container then hit the vehicle, causing it to overturn.
As many as 13 persons were injured in the accident. All the injured were rushed to PRM Hospital in Baripada, where eight persons are currently undergoing treatment.
In the third incident, a bike accident near the Ghoghar Bundel jungle under Talsara police limits in Sundargarh district claimed the life of a youth late on Thursday night.
The deceased was identified as Shlok Barla (22). Two others — Abinash Barla (20) and Akash Barla (19) — sustained serious injuries in the mishap. All three were residents of Balishankara Bhatipada village.
Police said the trio was travelling on a motorcycle without a registration number plate to attend a wedding feast at Ghoghar when the rider reportedly lost balance, leading to the accident.
The injured were initially admitted to the Subdega Community Health Centre and later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital for advanced treatment.
