Traffic Curbs in Bhubaneswar on April 30 for Odisha Assembly Special Session

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack has issued a traffic advisory imposing strict vehicular restrictions across key routes in the city on Thursday, April 30, in view of the one-day special session of the 17th Odisha Legislative Assembly.
According to the official notification, the restrictions will be enforced from 7:00 AM onwards to ensure smooth traffic flow and heightened security around the Assembly premises.

As per the advisory, vehicles moving from Housing Board Square towards Rabindra Mandap will be diverted at Keshari Talkies Square. Similarly, commuters travelling from AG Square towards PMG will be required to take a right turn at Jaydev Bhawan and proceed via IG Park road.
Traffic coming from Master Canteen towards PMG will be rerouted through adjoining lanes at Lower PMG. Additionally, vehicles approaching from 120 Infantry Battalion Square will not be allowed towards Rabindra Mandap and will instead be diverted towards Power House Square.
Likewise, vehicles travelling from Lok Bhawan Square towards MLA Colony and Rabindra Mandap will be diverted at 120 Bn Square towards Sastrinagar Square.
The restrictions, however, will not apply to emergency services such as ambulances, fire tenders, and police vehicles. Authorized vehicles with access to key government establishments, including the State Assembly and Lok Seva Bhawan, will also be exempted.
The Commissioner of Police has urged citizens to cooperate with the traffic arrangements and plan their commute in advance to avoid inconvenience during the session.
