Three Labourers Killed, Three Injured in Granite Mine Explosion on Odisha-Andhra Border

Paralakhemundi: In a tragic incident on Tuesday afternoon, three labourers lost their lives and three others sustained critical injuries following a powerful explosion at a granite mine situated along the Odisha-Andhra Pradesh border.
According to reports, eight workers were engaged in operations at the Rajajog granite mine when a sudden blast rocked the site. The explosion killed three labourers instantly, while three others were severely injured. The injured workers were immediately rushed to the government hospital in Srikakulam for treatment.

Among the deceased, two were identified as residents of Bihar and one from Uttar Pradesh. The identities of the injured are yet to be confirmed.
The exact cause of the explosion remains unclear. Meanwhile, local administration and police officials have reached the spot and initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the mishap.
Authorities are also assessing safety measures at the mining site to prevent such incidents in the future.
