Bhubaneswar: “Success comes to those who dare and act” The above quote perfectly describes our country India in Tokyo Olympics. A lady from India with many ambitions and aspirations made our Nation proud by winning a silver medal in the 49 kg category. She is none other than Mirabai Chanu who has proved that we Indians are the best and will be best in the future.
No one even knows a lady from state Manipur can create history, it’s only her dedication and hard work which made her success. Saikhom Mirabai Chanu was born on 8 August 1994 in Nongpok Kakching, Imphal, Manipur, to a Meitei family. Her family identified her strength from an early age when she was just 12. She could easily carry a huge bundle of firewood home when her elder brother found it hard to even pick it up.
From that day she has stepped in the world of weightlifting. She is now the first Indian who won a medal in that Olympics, proud messages from our Honorable PM Narendra Modi as well as from all Indians have made her happy as well as delighted she is proud to be an Indian. From the team of reporters today we wish her a happy journey in the future.
