Youth Key to India’s Development Before 2047

President Droupadi Murmu has said that India can achieve developed-nation status even before 2047, with the active contribution of its young population.

Addressing the 75th convocation of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda in Vadodara on Wednesday, the President said education becomes truly meaningful when it is used for the progress of society and the nation.
She highlighted the rapid pace of technological change and stressed that a multidisciplinary approach can help address many of today’s challenges. Murmu also welcomed the growing participation of women in education and other sectors.
During the convocation, degrees were awarded to more than 12,600 students, while 160 students received a total of 201 gold medals.

The President is on a two-day visit to Gujarat. She is also scheduled to inaugurate the Brahma Kumaris’ Global Spiritual Palace Retreat Centre in Vadodara and launch initiatives focused on spiritual renewal and youth participation in nation-building.
