Sudarsan Pattnaik Creates Sand Art Tribute on Puri Beach for Naveen Patnaik’s 79th Birthday

Bhubaneswar: As Leader of Opposition and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik turned 79 on Thursday, renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik paid a heartfelt tribute by creating a magnificent sand sculpture on Puri Beach.

The artwork, which has drawn large crowds of tourists and locals, features a detailed portrait of Naveen Patnaik, a pink birthday cake inscribed with “Happy Birthday,” and a caption marking the veteran leader’s 79th birthday.

Sharing the creation on his X handle, Sudarsan Pattnaik wrote: “Wishing a very Happy Birthday to @Naveen_Odisha sir. May Mahaprabhu Jagannath bless you with good health and long life.”

Naveen Patnaik, the son of legendary leader Biju Patnaik, entered politics in 1997 following his father’s demise. He went on to serve as Odisha’s Chief Minister for a record 24 consecutive years, making him the state’s longest-serving leader.
