Shah: Cattle Economy Can Boost Rural Growth

Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said the government is building a comprehensive economic ecosystem around cattle rearing to strengthen rural livelihoods and create new opportunities for farmers and cattle owners.
Speaking at a state-level Gau Palak Sammelan in Bhopal, Shah said the initiative covers the entire value chain—from using cow dung for biogas and organic manure to processing milk and dairy products and connecting producers with markets. He added that cattle rearers could emerge as major beneficiaries of the Ministry of Cooperation.

On judicial reforms, Shah said the full implementation of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) would significantly modernise India’s criminal justice system. He said the reforms aim to enable cases to be completed within three years, covering the process from FIR registration through proceedings up to the Supreme Court.
