CM Mohan Majhi Felicitates Indian Idol Winner Jyotirmayee Nayak

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday felicitated Indian Idol Season 16 winner Jyotirmayee Nayak at his official residence here and announced a cash reward of Rs 5 lakh for her outstanding achievement.
Jyotirmayee met the Chief Minister and presented her Indian Idol trophy. She also spoke about the hard work and perseverance behind her success in the national singing reality show.
Congratulating her, the Chief Minister said that with the blessings of Lord Jagannath, Jyotirmayee’s exceptional talent and dedication have brought glory to Odisha at the national level. He described her as an inspiration for the new generation of singers.
Notably, Jyotirmayee has also been using her musical talent in the healthcare sector. She has been providing music therapy to cancer patients in several hospitals across the state to help ease their pain.
Appreciating her rare talent and service-oriented mindset, the CM called her a ‘youth icon’ for the entire state and the country. He said her initiative to use music for patient care will set a new trend in the coming days.
“Youth like Jyotirmayee, with their dedication and efforts, will help realise the dream of a Samrudha Odisha and a Viksit Bharat,” the Chief Minister said.
The CM also thanked the people of Odisha for their massive support during Jyotirmayee’s journey. He said this national-level achievement is a memorable chapter for all Odias and has further put the state’s artistic talent in the national spotlight.
Jyotirmayee’s father Chakradhar Nayak and mother Gouri Nayak were also present on the occasion.
