Rourkela: Newborn Found Dead in IGH Toilet Pan
A newborn was found dead inside the toilet pan of the emergency women’s restroom at Rourkela Ispat General Hospital (IGH), sparking shock and investigation.
Reports said a woman delivered the baby inside the emergency ward toilet. Soon after birth, the newborn slipped into the toilet pan and died. The circumstances of why the woman chose to deliver inside the restroom instead of seeking medical help have raised serious questions.
Sector-19 police reached the hospital after receiving information and registered an unnatural death case. Investigators began examining CCTV footage from the hospital premises to determine how the woman entered the toilet and what happened before and after the delivery.
