Private bus collides with Truck on NH-16 in Baleshwar

Jaleswar: Two including driver and helper severely injured as a private bus hit the back of a parked truck on the roadside after reportedly losing control in the Baleshwar district of Odisha.

As per reports, the bus was on its way to West Bengal from Baleshwar when the accident occurred near Gudikhala Chhak on National Highway-16 under Basta police station limits.

The bus driver reportedly lost balanace and rammed into the rear side of a truck parked on the road.

Following which, the front part of the bus was completely crushed under the truck in the collision.

However, the driver and helper of the bus suffered serious injuries and were rescued by the National Highway patrolling police and sent to the Basta hospital for treatment.

The bus driver was reportedly travelling with the helper as there were no other passengers on board the bus.

Basta police have reached the spot after being informed and have seized both the vehicles.

Further investigation is underway.
