Patnagarh MLA’s Bail Plea Deferred till Saturday

Surjit Kumar Dhal Bhubaneswar, July 5: The hearing on the bail petition of Patnagarh MLA Saroj Meher scheduled to be held on Friday was deferred for a day as the legislator failed to depose before the Special Court owing to illness.

Notably, a special court has been setup in Bhubaneswar to hear the cases of MPs and MLAs.

Meher is accused of manhandling a Junior Engineer in public.

He is under judicial custody at Special Jail in Jharpada here.
