Odisha’s Sudarsan Pattnaik Wins Russian Grand Sand Master Cup 2026

Bhubaneswar: Renowned sand artist Sudarsan Pattnaik has brought international acclaim to India by winning the prestigious Russian Grand Sand Master Cup 2026 at the II International Festival of Sand Sculpture held in Kaliningrad, Russia.

Pattnaik earned the coveted title for his thought-provoking sand sculpture focused on the growing global challenges of climate change and global warming. The artwork drew attention for its powerful message on environmental conservation and the urgent need for collective action against climate threats.

Sharing the news on social media, Pattnaik expressed happiness over the achievement and described it as a significant moment in his artistic journey. He also stated that he was proud to become the first Indian sand artist to receive the distinguished international honour.
