Odisha Final Voter List: 17.67 Lakh Names Removed After SIR

Odisha’s final electoral roll has recorded 3,16,32,754 voters, with nearly 17.67 lakh names removed following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The previous roll had 3,33,99,591 electors, marking a decline of 5.29%.
The deleted names include deceased, shifted, duplicate and untraceable voters. The final roll has 1,61,30,319 male, 1,54,99,661 female and 2,774 third-gender electors, with a gender ratio of 961.

Chief Electoral Officer R.S. Gopalan said 3.14 crore enumeration forms were received, while over 20.12 lakh forms were not submitted. After verification of claims and objections, 2,90,497 voters were added and 44,777 removed, resulting in a net increase of 2,45,720 electors over the draft roll.

The revision involved more than 45,000 BLOs, 147 EROs and 719 AEROs. Voters can check their details and seek inclusion, correction or deletion through Forms 6/6A, 8 and 7 respectively. Appeals against ERO decisions can be filed before the DEO and subsequently the CEO.

The final roll is available at polling stations, ERO/AERO offices and the CEO Odisha website. The number of polling stations has also increased from around 38,000 to 45,250.
