Odia Athletes Dutee, Deep & Birendra Nominated for Arjuna Award

Bhubaneswar (Surjit Kumar Dhal): A total of 29 athletes have been nominated for the Arjuna Award this year. The list includes three athletes from Odisha, Dutee Chand, a runner from Odisha. The other two are Indian men’s hockey team player Birendra Lakra and women team’s Deep Grace Ikka. It is learned that Dutee chand is currently working hard to qualify for the Tokyo Olympics.

Other players nominated for the Arjuna Award include Indian cricket fast bowler Ishant Sharma, men’s archer Atanu Das, women’s hockey team’s Deepika Thakur, Indian kabaddi team’s Deepak Hooda and tennis player Divij Sharan. A selection committee of the Ministry of Sports has nominated a total of 29 Indian athletes for the annual Arjuna Award.
