Lalji Desai Appointed Congress In-Charge for Odisha, Replaces Ajay Lallu

New Delhi: The All India Congress Committee (AICC) on Friday appointed senior party leader Lalji Desai as the new in-charge of Odisha, replacing Ajay Lallu as part of its latest organisational restructuring.

Desai, who previously served as the Chief Organiser of the All India Congress Seva Dal, will take charge with immediate effect, according to an official notification issued by the AICC.

The reshuffle also includes key appointments in other states. Sanjay Dutta has been entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing the party’s affairs in Haryana, while Rajendra Pal Gautam has been named the new AICC in-charge for Uttar Pradesh.

The latest changes are part of the Congress party’s organisational revamp as it prepares to strengthen its structure ahead of upcoming political activities and electoral challenges.
