Senior Police Officials Review Security Preparedness Ahead of Devasnana Purnima in Puri

Puri: With the annual Devasnana Purnima festival approaching, senior police officials on Saturday reviewed security and administrative arrangements to ensure the smooth conduct of the event in Puri.
A high-level general briefing was held at the Reserve Office (RO) in Puri under the leadership of the Additional Director General of Police (ADGP), the Inspector General of Police (Central Range), and the Superintendent of Police (SP), Puri. The meeting was attended by officers and personnel deployed for the festival.

During the briefing, officials assessed preparedness for crowd regulation, traffic management, public convenience, and inter-departmental coordination. Detailed instructions were issued to ensure effective deployment of the police force and seamless management of devotees expected to visit the temple town.
The police leadership emphasised maintaining law and order, ensuring public safety, and facilitating a hassle-free experience for pilgrims during the festival. Authorities said all necessary measures are being put in place for the peaceful and incident-free observance of Devasnana Purnima.
