Naveen Patnaik Congratulates D.K. Shivakumar on Taking Oath as Karnataka Chief Minister

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president and former Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Wednesday congratulated D.K. Shivakumar on assuming office as the Chief Minister of Karnataka.
In a message posted on social media platform X, Patnaik extended his best wishes to Shivakumar and expressed confidence that Karnataka would witness greater progress and development under his leadership.

“Congratulations to Shri D.K. Shivakumar ji on being sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka. I wish that under your leadership, the state reaches new heights of development. Best wishes,” Patnaik wrote.
Shivakumar, who also serves as the Karnataka Congress president, took oath as the Chief Minister at a ceremony held in Bengaluru earlier in the day. Along with him, 13 legislators, including senior Congress leader G. Parameshwara, were sworn in as members of the new Council of Ministers.
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge, senior leader Rahul Gandhi, outgoing Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, and several other prominent party leaders and dignitaries.
Patnaik’s congratulatory message came amid wishes pouring in from political leaders across the country following the formation of the new government in Karnataka.
