Miscreants Behind Durga Puja Immersion Violence Identified: Police Launch Arrest Drive

Bhubaneswar: The individuals involved in the recent violence during the Durga Puja immersion procession have been identified, and efforts are underway to apprehend them, informed Twin City Police Commissioner S. Dev Datta Singh.

Addressing the media, Singh stated that three cases have been registered in connection with the clashes. To maintain peace and order, central forces have been deployed across key areas of Cuttack. “We have pinpointed the miscreants. Immediate action will be taken against those involved in the disturbance. The police have been instructed to act swiftly against the troublemakers,” he said.

The Commissioner also urged citizens to avoid believing or spreading rumours that could further aggravate the situation. He assured that police teams are on high alert and closely monitoring the city to prevent any untoward incidents during the ongoing festive season.
