Labor Day Travel Rush: 17 Million Set to Pass Through US Airports

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) said around 17 million travellers were expected to pass through US airports in the week leading up to Monday’s Labor Day holiday, with 2.3 million passengers forecast to fly on Sunday alone.

Miami International Airport (MIA), located near downtown Miami, is one of the busiest airports in the US.

According to its website, MIA is the country’s busiest airport for international freight and the second busiest for international passengers. It also offers more flights to Latin America and the Caribbean than any other US airport.

The airport handles around 60% of all international visitors to Florida.
