Bhubaneswar: IPS officer Anugu Shiva Maruthi Reddy on Tuesday assumed charge as the new Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to Odisha Governor Dr Hari Babu Kambhampati.

Reddy formally took over the responsibility at Lok Bhavan in the presence of the Governor, who welcomed him to the new post. Commissioner-cum-Secretary to the Governor Dr Roopa Roshan Sahoo and other senior officials of the Governor’s Secretariat attended the occasion.

Before his appointment as ADC, Reddy was serving as the Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) of G. Udayagiri.

He has succeeded IPS officer Ananya Awasthi as the ADC (Police) to the Governor.

The Odisha Governor is assisted by two ADCs for official and ceremonial duties. While one officer is drawn from the Indian Navy, the other represents the Odisha Police. Lieutenant Commander Harshit Deo is currently serving as the ADC (Navy).

As ADC (Police), Reddy will assist the Governor during official programmes, ceremonial engagements and protocol-related responsibilities.

His appointment comes as part of the Governor’s Secretariat’s arrangements for managing official engagements and security-related coordination.
