Four Main Accused Arrested Within 12 Hours in Ajit Sahu Murder Case: IGP

Nayagarh: All four main accused involved in the brutal murder of Ajit Sahu under Odagaon police limits in Odisha’s Nayagarh district have been arrested within 12 hours of the incident, informed Central Range IGP Dr Satyajit Naik on Monday.
According to police, the accused were apprehended in a swift operation carried out by Nayagarh police following the sensational murder that had triggered tension in the area.
Police said the arrested persons are being interrogated to ascertain the sequence of events and the role of each accused in the crime. Efforts are also underway to gather scientific and digital evidence to strengthen the investigation.
IGP Dr Satyajit Naik said Nayagarh police acted promptly and efficiently to crack the case within a short span of time. He added that strict action would be taken against all those involved in the crime.
Police have also intensified action against illegal stone quarry activities and alleged criminal networks linked to the case in coordination with the Revenue and Mining departments.
The law and order situation in the area remains under control and is being closely monitored by the administration, police said.
