Fixers approached Women’s cricket team player to fix matches

(Reporters Today, Bhubaneswar): A player of Indian Women’s Cricket team was reportedly approached to fix a few matches earlier this year. BCCI’s Anti-Corruption Unit has already lodged an FIR against two individuals on Monday. The incident, about which the cricketer informed Board’s ACU, happened in February, ahead of the limited-overs home series against England. Ajit Singh Shekhawat, who heads the ACU, said to the press here. The player have also recorded the conversation she had with one of the accused over the telephone. The incident was investigated by the ICC first, and then BCCI started their own probe.
