Father, Son Die Within Hours in Tragic Incident in Jajpur

Jajpur: A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Manasipatan village under Kanika Pada Panchayat and Mangalpur Police limits in Jajpur district after a father and son died within hours of each other, leaving the entire area in deep shock and mourning.

The deceased were identified as Steamer Panda alias Silu, owner of Gayatri Digital Studio at Mangalpur Bazar, and his father Rasananda Panda.

According to reports, the incident began after Bhiki, an employee of Gayatri Digital Studio, allegedly consumed poison under unclear circumstances. Silu immediately rushed the employee to a hospital for treatment. However, during the process, he reportedly started feeling uneasy and suffered severe chest pain.

He returned home briefly, but as his condition worsened, family members rushed him to the hospital. Doctors were preparing to conduct an ECG when Silu reportedly died of a heart attack.

The sudden death of Silu left the family devastated. On learning about his son’s demise, his father Rasananda Panda was unable to bear the shock and allegedly died by suicide by hanging himself.

Meanwhile, Bhiki, the employee who consumed poison, is undergoing treatment at a hospital in Cuttack and remains in critical condition.

The tragic sequence of events has cast a pall of gloom over the entire Mangalpur area, with locals expressing grief over the loss of the father-son duo in a single night.
