ECoR Cancels Several Passenger Trains On May 17 For Safety Works

Bhubaneswar: East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the temporary cancellation of several passenger train services on Sunday, May 17, 2026, in connection with safety-related modernisation and maintenance works across various sections under the Khurda Road Division.
According to railway authorities, the works are being carried out to enhance operational safety, strengthen railway infrastructure and ensure smoother movement of increasing coaching and freight traffic in the division.

As part of the temporary arrangements, Train No. 68411/68412 Bhubaneswar–Brahmapur–Bhubaneswar MEMU Passenger, Train No. 58405/58406 Cuttack–Paradip–Cuttack Passenger, Train No. 68435/68436 Cuttack–Paradip–Cuttack MEMU Passenger and Train No. 68437/68438 Cuttack–Bhadrak–Cuttack MEMU Passenger will remain cancelled on May 17.
ECoR has advised passengers to take note of the temporary changes and plan their journeys accordingly. Travellers have also been urged to check updated train schedules and running status through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or official railway enquiry services before starting their journey.
