Cyclone Threat: Khordha Administration Suspends Govt Leave from October 26 to 31

With a developing cyclonic system over the Bay of Bengal raising concerns, the Khordha district administration has cancelled leave for all government officials and employees from October 26 to October 31.
District Collector Amrit Ruturaj has instructed all government personnel to remain at their respective headquarters and ensure their availability for administrative duties. No official will be allowed to leave their headquarters without prior approval from the competent authority.
According to the official order, all previously approved leaves and permissions to leave headquarters have been withdrawn. Employees who are currently on leave or have permission to stay away from their headquarters have been directed to return to duty immediately.

The decision has been taken as a precautionary measure to ensure administrative preparedness and facilitate a swift response to any emergency arising from the evolving weather situation.
Meanwhile, the potential cyclone, reportedly expected to be named ‘Arnab’, may approach the Andhra Pradesh coast by the evening of October 28 or possibly earlier. Authorities are keeping a close watch on developments as preparations continue in anticipation of the possible impact of the weather system.
