Congress to Take ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ Campaign to 800 Cities

The Congress Working Committee (CWC) has decided to expand the party’s ‘Chhatron Ki Goonj’ (Students’ Voice) campaign to around 800 cities across the country.
The decision was taken during a CWC meeting attended by senior Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Sonia Gandhi and K.C. Venugopal.

Under the plan, Rahul Gandhi will address only selected programmes, while state-level Congress leaders will organise and lead events in their respective states and constituencies.
Rahul Gandhi urged party leaders to fight the political battle with confidence and without fear. Priyanka Gandhi also made two suggestions during the meeting, both of which were accepted.
Focus on Education Reforms

The CWC also asked Congress chief ministers in Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka and Himachal Pradesh to prepare concrete education reform plans for their respective states. They have been asked to consult education experts, student groups and other stakeholders over the next month.
Congress Targets Government on Youth Issues
Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge highlighted the challenges faced by young Indians, saying that despite India being one of the world’s youngest countries, many young people continue to struggle for quality education and meaningful employment.

The party also decided to intensify its campaign over allegations related to donations at the Ram temple, directing state Congress units to take the issue to the grassroots.
K.C. Venugopal said the CWC believes the recent Parliament session was highly successful for the Opposition and claimed that the government was put on the defensive over the paper-leak issue.
