CM Mohan Charan Majhi to Launch Digital Governance Initiatives in Balangir Today

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to visit Balangir district on Friday to inaugurate two major digital platforms — the e-Panchayat Sabha Portal and the Internal Audit Portal — aimed at strengthening grassroots governance.
During his visit, the Chief Minister will also distribute work orders to beneficiaries under the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana. In addition, he will lay foundation stones and inaugurate several development projects across the district.

As per the schedule, Majhi will arrive by helicopter at the Police Parade Ground in Manoharpur and proceed to the Circuit House before attending a state-level Panchayati Raj programme at Gandhi Stadium. At the event, he will felicitate district councils, panchayat samitis, and gram panchayats for their outstanding performance under the MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act) and the Rural Housing Scheme.
Considering the prevailing summer heat, the programme has been scheduled for the evening. Several senior leaders and officials are expected to attend, including Deputy Chief Minister Kanak Vardhan Singh Deo, Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr Mukesh Mahaling, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabi Narayan Naik, and Lok Sabha MP Sangeeta Kumari Singh Deo.
Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department Secretary Girish SN will also be present at the event.
The visit is expected to significantly boost digital governance at the panchayat level and ensure improved delivery of benefits to underprivileged sections through the Antyodaya Gruha Yojana in Balangir district.
