BJD not in Favour of NRC : Naveen

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal Supremo and Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today said the BJD will not support the National Register of Citizens.

“BJD MPs in both the house of parliament have made it clear that BJD do not support NRC,” said Patnaik speaking to newsmen at Naveen Nivas here.

Commenting on the Citizenship Amendment Act, the Odisha CM said, “It has nothing to do with Indian citizens, it only deals with foreigners.”

“I would appeal to our citizens to let peace prevail and not to indulge in rumour mongering,” Naveen added.
