Bhubaneswar: Trailer truck hits truck on Khandagiri overbridge

Bhubaneswar: Bhubaneswar, the state capital city of Odisha, witnessed yet another road accident as a trailer hit a truck from rear on Khandagiri overbridge this morning due to which the driver got trapped.

According to reports, a trailer loaded with goods hit a good laden truck from behind reportedly due to break failure while it was on its way towards Khordha.

Following the accident, the front portion of the trailer and the back portion of the truck got damaged and the driver got trapped between the two vehicles.

Vehicular moment on the route was affected for some time after the mishap.

On being informed, a team of local fire fighters rushed to the spot and rescued the driver after half-an-hour of operation. He was then rushed to the hospital for treatment.

Khandagiri police also arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation into the matter and took steps for the normal movement of vehicles on the overbridge.
