Bhubaneswar experience extreme heat and humidity, Heat index rushes to 47 degrees

Bhubaneswar: Odisha is suffering from unbearable heat and humid conditions. On Saturday, the capital city Bhubaneswar is experience extreme heat and humidity as by 8.30, the heat index has pushed past 47 degrees despite the temperature being recorded at 33 degrees Celsius.
The high humidity has made life difficult for the capital residents as it feels like a giant furnace.
Meanwhile, the people of Subarnapur, which had become the hottest city in India, are suffering from several issues as they cannot venture outside home due to the heat and humid conditions. The streets have become deserted as people are preferring to stay indoors in the hot weather. Water scarcity has also become a major issue in the area.
The heat, humidity, and the irregularity of electricity supply have made the life of the state people difficult. Moreover, the delay in the arrival of the Monsoon has also added pressure on the people as this is the time when the farmers start working on the fields. But, the absence of rain has made them helpless, and now they are worrying about the lives.
