Naveen Patnaik appoints party’s four more district presidents

Bhubaneswar: Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik on Monday appointed party’s four more organizational district presidents – Ganjam, Kendrapara, Kalahandi and Cuttack.
As per the notification issued by the conch party, veteran Bikram Panda has been appointed to be the president of Ganjam district, while Shiva Prasad Bhol to lead Kendrapara district.
Likewise, the BJD supremo also has appointed Pradip Kumar Dishari and Prafulla Singh as the presidents of Kalahandi and Cuttack districts respectively.
Earlier, the party had elected following 24 organizational district presidents were elected:

- Nuapada: Abani Ranjan Joshi
- Puri: Umakanta Samantray
- Subarnapur: Saroj Kumar Kampa

It is to be noted here that BJD has 33 organisational districts and with the appointment of four more new district presidents today, a total of 28 organisational district presidents have been appointed.
