PM Modi to Visit Odisha on June 20; Security Tightened

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s scheduled visit to Odisha on June 20, security arrangements have been significantly intensified across the capital city. A high-level review meeting was held at the office of the Director of Biju Patnaik International Airport on Tuesday to ensure foolproof preparations for the visit.
The meeting witnessed the presence of top officials from the Bhubaneswar administration, Commissionerate Police, and the Fire Services Department. Following the discussions, senior officials conducted an on-ground inspection of Janata Maidan — the venue for the Prime Minister’s public address — to assess readiness and coordinate final touches.

Odisha Transport Minister Bibhuti Bhusan Jena and Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari also visited the venue to oversee the arrangements and review the ongoing preparations.
As per the official itinerary, Prime Minister Modi will land at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 3:40 pm. Shortly after, he will lead a roadshow from 3:45 pm to 4:15 pm, starting from the airport and concluding at Janata Maidan.
From 4:15 pm to 5:30 pm, PM Modi will address a public gathering at Janata Maidan as part of the BJP government’s first-year celebrations in Odisha. During the event, he is expected to unveil the state’s ‘Vision Document’, outlining the roadmap for Odisha’s development under BJP governance.
The Prime Minister is scheduled to return to New Delhi from Bhubaneswar at approximately 5:50 pm following the conclusion of the event.
Stringent security measures have been deployed citywide to ensure a smooth and secure visit, with law enforcement agencies on high alert.
