Bhubaneswar No-Fly Zone for PM’s Visit

Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the ‘Utkarsh Odisha — Make In Odisha 2025’ Conclave, set to begin tomorrow in Bhubaneswar, the Commissionerate of Police has declared the venue as a ‘No Flying Zone’ due to security reasons. The event, which will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, is scheduled to take place at Janata Maidan on 28th-29th January 2025.

To ensure safety during the Prime Minister’s visit, the police have also issued restrictions on media coverage. Media personnel have been advised not to fly drones in and around Janata Maidan and to refrain from covering the road journey of the Prime Minister from Biju Patnaik International Airport. Additionally, they have been asked to avoid live video coverage at Janata Maidan and other locations where the Prime Minister will be present.

The two-day conclave is expected to attract over 7,500 delegates, including more than 100 international delegates and diplomats from over 20 countries. Partner countries such as Singapore, Australia, and Malaysia will lead discussions, while delegations from nations like Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kazakhstan, Venezuela, the UK, the USA, and Nepal will also take part.

The conclave will feature prominent business leaders, including Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Anil Agarwal, Sajjan Jindal, and Karan Adani, who will participate in key discussions and collaborations.
