Padmashri Nanda Kishore Prusty Dies at 104

Jajpur (Reporters Today Bureau): Noted teacher Padmashri Nanda Kishore Prusty, fondly known as Nanda Sir, who had tested positive for COVID-19 recently, succumbed to the virus at a private hospital here today. He was 104.

The teacher died at around 1.30 pm, said family sources. Prusty, a native of Kantira village under Sukinda police limits in Jajpur district, was first admitted to Sukinda Community Health Centre on November 28 as he complained of illness. He was later shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) on November 29.

Thereafter, he was shifted to Tata Steel Medica Hospital as his condition deteriorated. Few days ago, he was again shifted to a private hospital in the state capital.
