Odisha: Man fined for driving truck without Wearing Helmet.

A man fined Rs 1,000 for driving a truck without wearing a helmet by the transport department.

The challan issued on December 24, 2020, and now the matter came to the fore when vehicle owner Pramod Kumar Swain of G.Jagannathpur in Ganjam district went to the RTO office recently for renewing the permit of the truck.

The permit was renewed after payment of the fine but he was was shocked to know that a challan related to ‘Driving without a helmet’ was pending against the registered number of the truck.

Being disappointed by the incident, Swain requested the government to take steps to prevent such errors for which people are suffering.
