Odisha to Witness Thunderstorm Today
Bhubaneswar (Reporters Today Bureau): Several pockets of Odisha are likely to witness thunderstorm today, the IMD, Bhubaneswar forecasted.
Thunderstorm with lightning and thunder squall wind speed reaching 50-60 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Jajpur, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Kendrapara and Dhenkanal. Also, hailstorm very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Mayurbhanj, Balasore, Bhadrak and Jajpur, the MeT office said and issued ‘Orange Warning’ for the districts.
Thunderstorm with lightning accompanied with gusty surface wind speed reaching 30-40 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Sundergarh, Deogarh, Jharsuguda, Angul, Nayagarh, Khurda, Ganjam, Puri and Jagatsinghpur, the Meteorological Centre added issuing ‘Yellow Warning’ for the above districts.
